Plans for Quilt University 2009 are underway!
To help shape the next Q.U., contact Carol Riffe.
Quilt University 2007 was a major success!
Over 300 people participated in 46 classes over a period of three days in August 2007. Classes were held at Washtenaw Community
College.
It couldn't have happened without the following people --
Judy Thornton organized the weekend, arranged for the truly fabulous Laura Wasilowski to speak, and coordinated the
production of the hundreds of favors that were given to each participant.
Judy's team of volunteers constructed every name badge, tote bag, and favor at meal-time.
Sue Endreszl served as treasurer to QU and provided needed sanity notes to other members of the team.
Carol Riffe did a bang-up job of recruiting teachers, selecting classes, and maintaining communications with all along
the way.
Sonja Hagen, who had never seen the fashion shows of previous years, jumped right in to organize and run this wonderful
tradition of QU.
Kaye Wittington arranged and managed the lovely mini quilt show in the Hospitality room.
And crews of people helped with set-up, registration, hauling stuff from cars, putting up and taking down signs, meal-time
check-in, and numerous other tasks.
The success of this weekend was due to these and many others -- thank you!
