Please join us for a SafeHouse Sewing Bee: Make quilt tops for quilts that will be donated to SafeHouse Center. The event will be held at noon on Saturday March 17, 2018 in room 150, Morris J. Lawrence Bldg., WCC, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48105, immediately following the GAAQG Quilt Day meeting that begins at 9 a.m.
Register now by email to email@example.com so that we can plan for you.
We will be using a new pattern with half square triangles. Our blocks will be 12-inches square with one neutral solid and one bright children’s fabric — 18 of each. You can make a 5 X 7-block quilt top or a 20 X 28-block quilt top. It’s always your choice. You may bring your own SafeHouse project and/or fabric. Join us to sew, iron, and cut. It’s always fun. And I’ll provide bagels and bottled water for attendees!
There are other quilt kits available with squares only, and, also, four tops which only need a border or two for completion. Consider these worthwhile projects as well.
Please bring your sewing, or rotary cutting skills, and supplies. A regular pencil for marking the triangles will be handy also. All fabric will be provided by the GAAQG, and the guild will provide irons and ironing boards.
We will be in Morris J. Lawrence Building Room 150 — the room with all the windows and a view of the pond.
Onward and upward to SafeHouse quilt making!!
