There are many volunteer opportunities in GAAQG. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends, maximize your benefits, and enjoy a vibrant community of quilters.

Volunteer Opportunities

GAAQG operates entirely on volunteer energy. There are many tasks, both large and small, that contribute to the vibrancy of our Guild, from serving as a board officer to helping at one of our special events. When you renew your annually, you can express an interest in volunteering or sharing a special skill. There are many ways to become involved, whether you have a little time or a lot.  Guild volunteers are eligible to be included in the annual drawing for the Volunteers Quilt at the November Quilt Day. Quilt for SafeHouse Center

The Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild sponsors SafeHouse Center of Washtenaw County.  SafeHouse provides free and confidential services for those impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault who live in Washtenaw County. SafeHouse services include emergency shelter for those in danger of being hurt or killed, counseling, legal advocacy, support groups — and especially hope.  Each person who resides in the shelter leaves with a donated quilt lovingly made by GAAQG

Join a Small Group

A small group is composed of guild of 4 or 40 (but could include non-, who meet on a regular basis for sharing friendship and their love of quilting. This benefits the guild by giving our a way to get to know other and feel connected.
