At Quilt Day on Saturday, July 15, fiber artist Carole Harris will present a lecture on “My Journey as an Artist.”  If you haven’t seen her work, you are in for a real treat.  Some of it is on exhibit now at the U-M North Campus Research Center.  GAAQG Program Director, Susan Schwandt, filmed a wonderful video at the exhibit which we posted on our guild Facebook page.  Unfortunately, the file is too large to post here so be sure to follow the link.  As always, the meeting begins at 9:15 but doors open at 8:15a.  Guests are definitely welcome to attend ($10 or ask a member to sponsor you for free.)

Following the meeting, we will hold our annual Garage Sale for our members to sell their gently used (or maybe even new) quilting tools, notions, books etc. and other craft-related items.  The public is welcome to buy, so don’t miss out on some great deals!

Hope to see you there!
