In the Frolicking Felines workshop Paula Golden will teach color and basic paper foundation piecing. The challenge in this class is to select colors and values that define the student’s goal. Each person’s goal will be different. It helps refine our color choices, but this is not limited to quilting as we will explore how the same principles are used in interior design, fashion and gardening. She will help you create a fun wall quilt from a simple tessellated paper foundation to show off your new skills in understanding value, shading and color. Note: The Frolicking Felines pattern can easily be changed to foxes simply by altering the angle in the pattern. Foxes are very trendy now!
Paula brings all the tools in her toolbox to every workshop and gives 110% if not more. “I am not a teach who cracks jokes or who has an outlandish personality. However, I have had a passion for quilt making, quilt history, quilters and the art for over 40 years. I think that comes through in each class. We are part of a long river of fiber enthusiasts and share many things in common.”
Paula’s work is part of the permanent collection of the University of Michigan Hospital’s Gifts of Arts Program.
