March 2018 Quilt Day

Doors open at 8:15 am, and the meeting begins at 9:15 am.

Lecture by Jane Davila“Elements of Design”

The experience of living in Peru and traveling around the world has left a lasting impact on Jane Davila’s appreciation for the diversity of cultural expression and iconography, a theme that frequently shows up in her work. Good design starts with the basic elements like color, texture, line, and shape. This lecture features real life examples of these elements in action on quilts and offers solutions to common design problems. Jane’s lecture will increase your understanding of what you see and what you like, and apply it to your quilts – traditional, art, modern and contemporary. What a great opportunity to hear a lecture from a nationally known, respected teacher!

This lecture follows the business meeting on Quilt Day.
