QU 2019 – Friday July 26 – Fiber Gems Stitched Pendants – Michelle Dobrin
Learn to create fiber gems by stitching tiny quilts and setting them into metal pendants. Using bits of fabrics, fibers and recycled paper scraps, attendees will arrange them in abstract designs and free motion quilt them, then cut them into tiny (~1 inch) pieces to glue to metal pendants and hang them from necklaces.
Multiple pendants will be made by each attendee, and in multiple sizes and shapes (square, oval, rectangular, circular).
Check out the article on Fiber Gems in the Winter 2019 issue of Art Quilting Studio magazine
Kit Fee: $15 includes the following materials: 4 metal pendant settings in different shapes, dimensions, colors and cording (enough to hang 4 necklaces).
