Sunday, May 17 – Lynn Krawczyk – Monoprinting Mania

Appropriate level: BEGINNERS ARE WELCOME IN ALL OF LYNN’S WORKSHOPS!

Think of this class as printing press meets fabric. Utilizing the incredibly unique printing technique known as monoprinting, we will create one-of-a-kind fabrics that can be used in a wide variety of art projects. In the morning, students will explore using different items to create pattern on fabric using textile paint. Composition of the printed pattern will also be covered. In the afternoon, students will create a textile collage using fabrics made in the morning portion of the class. Additional monoprinting can be added. Kit Fee: $10

Lynn Krawczyk is a mixed media artist living in Plymouth, MI. The core of her work focuses on textiles and takes the form of collage, hand stitching and textile printing. She has written three books – Intentional Printing, The Hand Stitched Surface, and Hand Sewing Magic – as well as dozens of articles for craft and textile magazines.
