Have you ever looked at an acrylic cutting/sewing template but wished it was in a different size? How about sketching an amazing shape for applique, then dreaded the thought of cutting it out 50 times? Have you wanted to add words to a quilt, but none of the dies you can find match the font you want to use? Then Maker Works has the solution for you!
Maker Works is a member-based workshop that gives you access to a variety of tools and machines. There are currently 4 studio areas: Metal, Circuits, Wood, and Craft and we will be adding our fifth studio, Jewelry, early this Fall. Each area has specialized tools and build tables, and on-site project storage space for members! Our Craft Studio has an Amaya Bravo 16-needle embroidery machine, two laser cutters, a HUGE cutting space, several basic sewing machines, an industrial sewing machine, serger, vinyl cutter and large-format printer that can be used to make patterns. Want to host a special sewing event? We even have a conference room available.
We are bringing our laser cutter to show off how easy it is to cut both fabric and acrylic. We’ll also have a large array of samples from other tools available at Maker Works.
Tours are highly encouraged and always available during regular business hours. However, we are offering GAAQG members the chance to sign up for a limited number of morning tours before the shop is open. This will ensure that you can see various tools in action, and be able to spend more time focused on the craft area.
We can’t wait to show you all that Maker Works has to offer!
