Quilt University

July 28, 29 & 30, 2017

CLASS AND MEAL REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED – WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING QU PARTICIPANTS ON JULY 28-30, 2017

Held in odd-numbered years, Quilt University is our biennial gathering for fun and camaraderie, all in a setting that allows us to learn new skills to use in our craft of choice, quilting!  Join us in the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College for a three-day weekend of learning, friendships and fun!

There are one-day classes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as two-day classes on Saturday & Sunday.  Registration is now open to both members and non-members.

We have invited a wonderful group of internationally known teachers as well as our talented local teachers from the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild. The class selections are exciting and include classes for all skill levels. Additionally, two classes will be 2-day classes to allow for a more in depth learning session and result in some finished projects.

On Friday and Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM, there will be Make and Take activities for all attendees of QU 2017.  They will take place in the Morris Lawrence Building but you must be enrolled in a QU class to take part in the Evening Activities.  The exact projects will be detailed in the QU booklet that will be passed out the first day of QU.  There will be 3 activities each evening and you will have time to take part in all of them.

We promise they will be fun and informative and different than most activities at QU.  If you have not signed up for any classes at QU 2017 you still have time to do so.  We do not want you to miss out on any of the fun of QU 2017.  Check out the list of classes and pick a class or 2 or 3.  We know you will have a great time! The building will be open until 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening for additional sewing time and the Make and Takes.

All attendees will have the opportunity to attend lunch catered by Washtenaw Community College or you are welcome to brown bag it. This year we will not be serving dinner at Quilt University but you can get together with a group of friends and order food from one of the local eateries.

Please note that class selections are reduced in number from last QU, so early registration is suggested. Also, we have not blocked any hotel rooms for QU 2017 because there is another event going on in Ann Arbor that same weekend. We suggest that if you plan to stay in Ann Arbor that weekend, you begin to look for a hotel room right away.
