GAAQG Garage Sale to Benefit SafeHouse

By Beverly Darr – Garage Sale Chairperson

Ahhh…summer…the season of barbecues, camping trips, graduation parties, weddings, and garage sales. Yes, it is garage sale season!

Come to the Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild Annual Garage Sale on July 15 at the Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College. The Garage Sale begins at noon and ends at 1:30pm.

GAAQG members are cleaning their sewing spaces and setting aside loved-but-no-longer-needed quilting and sewing supplies for you to bring home and enjoy. You may discover a treasure you didn’t know you needed until you saw it!

A percentage of profits (10%) from the sale will support the guild’s charitable activities on behalf of SafeHouse Center in Ann Arbor.

For Sellers

Please drop off your items before the guild meeting. Volunteers will be available from 8:30am until the meeting begins to accept sale merchandise.

Label your items with an index card clearly printed with your full name and the price. Please use safety pins if a pin is required. Straight pins are a no-no! The sale will end at 1:30pm. You must pick up unsold items at that time.

Profits, minus 10% for SafeHouse, will be mailed to you in the form of a check after a full accounting has been completed. An option is to donate your entire profits to SafeHouse Center.

If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering to help during the sale, please feel free to contact me, Beverly Darr, at garagesale@gaaqg.com.
