On Saturday, March 18, 2023, Irene Roderick will present a lecture titled “Dancing With the Wall.”
Irene’s lecture is about her own quilting journey. She started quilting in 2016 and has made over 130 quilts beginning with more traditional piecing, then modern quilting and now contemporary quilting. It is about a 45 minute talk with a PowerPoint presentation, and time for questions.
Improv Quilting by Irene Roderick is also available, published by Penguin Random House, 2022.
Non-members who haven’t registered for this weekend’s workshop can purchase a ticket for $10.00

On Saturday, May 20, 2023, Michelle Jackson will present a lecture titled “The Emotions of Color and How to Use Them.”
Why do we like certain colors or why do some colors make us feel calm and others give us energy? Colors can evoke many feelings including happiness, optimism, melancholy or sadness. This lecture is about our wonderful world of colors and how they affect our lives every day. As artists, we can learn to use color to evoke emotions and help the viewer see and feel what we want them to feel when viewing them.
