GAAQG Online Quilt Sale Benefits SafeHouse Center

Purchase a Quilt in October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month    UPDATE:  SALE ENDED DECEMBER 15.

Greater Ann Arbor Quilt Guild and SafeHouse Center team up to offer the 2021 SafeHouse Quilt Sale during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The public can view and purchase the quilts in an online slide show format.  NOTE:  the sale ENDED December 15.  A total of 41 quilts were sold (out of 62 offered) with $12,400 in proceeds going directly to SafeHouse Center.

More than 60 quilts are for sale to the public. All sale proceeds will go directly to support SafeHouse Center. The quilts range from $200 to $400 and are 60” x 80” or larger. Curbside pickup or UPS shipping is available.

Forty-one quilts are already sold, so please act soon to purchase a quilt in time for the holiday season, future wedding presents, or to curl up in a comfy chair with your favorite book. Please help spread the word – tell your friends about the sale.  This sale provides much-needed funding for SafeHouse since COVID has prevented them from holding some of their other fundraising events.

The GAAQG-SafeHouse partnership spans 32 years. Every year generous GAAQG members make and donate more than 300 quilts to SafeHouse Center. Shelter residents receive a comforting quilt and best of all – survivors and their children get to keep their quilt when they leave the shelter.

“All of our quilts are made with love and the hope that we can show SafeHouse Center residents that they are not alone,” says Lynne Bryant, GAAQG president. “Our members use their talent and creativity to provide a beautiful, physical reminder that there are people who care about them.”
