Event Details
Explore the mystery and excitement of creating a pieced abstract quilt with little or no plan. Students will be given several options in which to compose their design, and choose whatever feels right for them. We will discuss basic design and composition, color and value, quilting, and most importantly trusting your instincts. Sheila will demonstrate construction techniques for sewing curved seams and discuss some of the challenges you may run into with spontaneous design and piecing. This can be a Master Class, or beginner, and every level in between. Wherever you are is where we will start from. Each student receives ample one-on-one time in this workshop.
Best for confident beginners to advanced quilters.
The workshop runs from 9:30 AM-4:00 PM Eastern Time with a 1/2 hour break for lunch. This workshop will be held in person.
THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL. If you would like to be put on the waiting list, please email workshopregistrar@gaaqg.com and provide your full name and contact information. Thank you!
